After the last 6 weeks of teaching, I have decided to take the week off. Fall is definitely in the air, our leaves are beginning to turn and the temperatures are beginning to drop. We may have only a few weeks left here in Alaska to get out and bike ride before it gets too cold/snowy. So, we are doing our best to get out there on the trails and ride our bikes a few times this week if the weather cooperates.
This dovetails nicely with what we were talking about last week in class: taking care of yourself and setting boundaries. It's lovely to take some time off and relax, read a couple of books and generally have fun. Some people complain that the Coronavirus has given them too little to do, but my life has become busier than ever and I welcome this week to just slow down and enjoy life.
If you are missing class, check out the new videos that my husband Greg has put up on this website for you to enjoy. In addition to the 5 class beginner series, I have also recorded last Thursday's traditional yoga class as well as 3 short videos for you to practice: warm up, sun salutation (beginner form) and warrior series. I hope you enjoy them. See you next week when we begin our next 6 week series of classes!
Btw, I took this photo last night just after sunset--a stunning sky!
It's been quite a while since I have attended to my website (okay, a long while!) and it's time to get back to work. I haven't really been slacking off--at least not with other stuff. I've been teaching yoga classes via Zoom, chatting with my friend Kim twice a week as we communicate with the crystals (more about that later) and bike riding with my husband among other things. This being Alaska, we have to get out and enjoy our outdoor pursuits while the weather is good. (Our summer sure seems short up here!)
I have a new web master, my terrific brother Mark, and he has helped me to load videos and given me encouragement to go back and work on this website. So, here we are, and I hope to be present more often and give you regular updates.
To start, I am currently teaching all level yoga on Wednesday and Thursday morning using Zoom and it has been lots of fun. The classes are at no charge, I just ask that you pass it on by doing something thoughtful for someone else.
My dear friend Kim and I have been channeling the mineral kingdom by using our beautiful crystals to obtain messages of hope and joy. If you want to see some, please go to our Facebook pages of Rotoscope and Crystals of Hope.
And finally, my very beloved friend Mary Nelson, who so graciously gave of her time and energy to help me with the community Akashic readings has passed from this life to her next great adventure. May you be happy wherever you are, Mary. We'll miss you tremendously.
